| Located on the North - Eastern corner of the Dal lake lies the Masjid (Mosque) of Hazaratbal, complete with its marble dome and towering minar (tower). The Hazaratbal Masjid (Mosque) is said to contain a strand from the Prophet Mohammed's beard, which is exhibited to the public on certain auspicious days.
